We are pleased to invite you to a special screening of the true-to-life film „Dukot“ at the Gasometer in Vienna on Sunday, 28 November 2010, 5:30 pm. This film will be shown commercially early next year, 2011.

“Dukot” is a love story with social relevance depicting the basic issue on how to respect the people's basic human rights.

It tells of a young man, Junix (played by lead actor and Gawad Tanglaw awardee and Famas nominee Allen Dizon) listed in the so-called Order of Battle of the Philippine military because he is organizing peasants and an indigenous community in the mountains. He meets up with his girlfriend (played by actress Iza Calzado), a former student activist who now works in a call center. The two are abducted on the morning of their rendezvous.

Sure to gain national and international attention, “Dukot” is directed by award-winning filmmaker Joel C. Lamangan, and written by veteran playwright Bonifacio P. Ilagan. Aside from Allen Dizon and Iza Calzado, the cast includes outstanding Filipino actors/actresses: Gina Alajar, Snookey Serna, Emilio Garcia, Robert Arevalo, and Felix Roco.

The presentation of this film is for the benefit of the less privileged children of Muntinlupa and Baseco, Tondo communities thru the Community Response for Enlightenment, Service &Transformation, Inc. (CREST). 

Furthermore, part of the proceeds will be used in the organizational formation of Barangay Center in Austria.

The tickets for this heart-breaking socially relevant film are 10 Euros per person.
